Zero emission spa achieved!
Our initial project objective has been achieved! Six grid connected photovoltaic modules generate 1250 kWh/a of electrical energy and produce an income of 700 €/a or 58 €/month (incl. Vat).

Thus, a cash flow of 492 €/a (700 € - 208 €) could be generated by the zero emission spa.

(calculations based on the spa's total electrical energy drawn from the grid of 1225 kWh and 208 €).

10.04.2009

Annual electrical energy consumption of test spa was found to be 1225 kWh, producing electrical energy costs of 208 €!

Test period from 09th of April 08 to 8th of April 09 in Ingolstadt.

The test spa has been additionally insulated and operated with swimming pool absorbers. The spa was used twice a week for a bout 40 min each usage.  Average spa temperature 38°C.
